Ruud a Magpie?
Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy could become a Magpie this summer, according to The Telegraph.
The move makes sense to me. Van Nistelrooy is 30 and still has some scoring years ahead. He has scored 158 goals in 5 seasons for ManU and would fetch a pretty penny for the squad who have an abundance of (young) guns.
It has been a shame to see Ruud sitting out of the starting lineup for the past few games and a move to Newcastle would be a great fit. The Maggies are hurting for help, and Ruud would provide great firepower up front with Owen, and provide what the Maggies desperately need – a replacement for the retiring Alan Shearer.
