Arsenal Roll On

I must admit, even as a Gooner, I thought this season would be long on frustration as the team rebuilt. I had no idea that Wenger would inspire his young talent to rise to challenge the best in Europe so quickly. After today’s 2-0 stomping of the mighty Juve, Arsenal are looking mighty impressive.

While all the talk pregame was about the return of Patrick Vierra, the much smaller figure of Cesc Fabergas dominated the midfield and stole the postgame headlines. Fabergas, who has shown flashes of greatness since last years Champions League run when he ironically substituted for an injured Vierra, scored a sublime goal before setting up Henry for the second (with a bit of help from Hleb).

Arsenal were a joy to watch today and it reminded me why I am such a huge fan of the team and of Arsene Wenger. Fast, flowing, beautiful ball. Lovely.
