Newcastle Strike for Canuck U20 Player
I almost completely missed this. A Canadian boy, David Edgar, scored what may be the biggest goal of his very short career yesterday. The 19 year old Edgar was responsible for the strike that gave Newcastle the 2-2 draw with ManU. Edgar was making his first start for the club as a replacement for the injured Nicky Butt. Newcastle boss Glen Roder said it best: “David Edgar is not renowned for his 25 yarders and he must have been saving it for a special occasion.”
