Ljungberg off to Inter?
Word from Sky Sports this morning that Freddie Ljungberg may be off to Inter to replace Luis Figo. This comes just days after West Ham denied having an interest in the Arsenal midfielder.
Ole Ole has a very good piece on Freddie Ljunberg and what his contribution has meant to Arsenal over the years .His tenacity and commitment to Arsenal is obvious, and he most likely still has some great football left in him.
But the past 2 years haven’t been kind to the Swedish Gunner. Injuries have hit especially hard. He has an ongoing foot problem and suffers from migraines. Add in the fact that Ljungberg is currently playing second banana to both Hleb and Rosicky in Wenger’s books, plus he is in demand in the market right now (judging from the interest in him swirling around), and all signs look pretty likely that the Swede will not be a Gunner for long.
Spurs have also been linked to Ljungberg and, judging from some blogs, it looks like Aston Villa fans might welcome Ljungberg with open arms.
