Sportsnet is reporting that Toronto is catching Beckham fever. Becks announcement isn’t even a day old and already his moveis translating into ticket sales for the newest MLS franchise. Toronto FC reports fielding close to 500 calls and selling 100 tickets. Seven TV cameras were on hand to record Toronto FC’s reaction to the Beckham deal.

I wonder if the 100 people who bought season tickets know that there’s a decent chance Beckham won’t come toToronto this year?

Good point. Toronto FC says that the Galaxy will be in Toronto in late summer. Whether Beckham is in the lineup by then is still unknown.
