Is there a less popular Manager in the Premiership than Man City’s Stuart Pearce?
Just listening to BBC’s 606 podcast with Spoony. Man City’s Stuart Pearce is getting raked over the coals by City fans.
Granted, there is lots to be upset at. Pearce’s side have lost their last four Premiership games and were dumped out of the FA Cup by Blackburn (I feel your pain City fans). They currently sit 17th in the Premiership, six points above the relegation zone.
Earlier this season, there was a lot of controversy when Pearce was named as the Manager of England’s U-21 team. A lot of fans at Man City were saying at the time that it would be impossible for a Manager to hold down both positions. You have to think that, if recent form is any indication, there is some truth to that. And, if things don’t turn around soon, you also have to think that the bookies 11-10 odds of Pearce being next Premiership manager to be sacked may come true.
