Lionel Messi may play for Argentina at U20 World Cup

According to goal.com, Lionel Messi wants to play for Argentina at the U-20 World Cup in Canada this summer. However, his bosses at Barcelona are dead set against him playing any ball this summer.

The Camp Nou bosses are said to be dead against one of their key players risking his fitness again through continuous action – particularly with stress-related injuries on the rise.

Messi has only played 14 games this season for Barca due to numerous injuries.

I really hope he can come. The desire is self serving since I live in Victoria where Group F is being hosted. Argentina is in Group E (Ottawa), but the round of 16 game being held here in Victoria will be against the 2nd place team in E, so there is a chance I might get to see the wunderkid play live!
