Canada jumps 38 spots in FIFA rankings
Man, what a difference 2 months make. In March I was blogging about the sad state of Canadian soccer as we languished at #103 in the FIFA rankings. 2 months later we now have our best showing since 1996, rising to #56 and sitting 5th in CONCACAF. We haven’t sat that high since December 1996, when we broke the top 40 in the world. That is a rise of 38 points, our biggest one month gain ever. Nice to see what playing (and winning) a few games in our region can do for us.
