U20 World Cup: Canada names roster
Dale Mitchell has named the squad he will be taking into the U-20 World Cup in 9 days.
Not a heck of a lot of surprises with Mitchell building the team around a core of returning players from the previous FIFA U-20 World Cup: Andrea Lombardo, Asmir Begovic, David Edgar, Jaime Peters, Jonathan Beaulieu-Bourgault and Will Johnson. What is a bit surprising as you look through the list is how many pros there are in the squad. The Bundesliga, English Premier, English Championship, Scottish Premier, Eredivisie and MLS all have healthy representation in our junior squad, which is nothing but good for Canada’s football future.
