Canada face Martinique on January 30
Hmmm, not sure what happened here, but just weeks before Canada was supposed to play St. Lucia in a Friendly in February, the game has been canceled. Instead, Canada will now take on Martinique in a Friendly in Martinique next week.
Like Guadeloupe, Martinique is part of France and is not a member of FIFA so I’m not sure a result here would affect FIFA rankings. But it will give Dale Mitchell a chance to preview players for WC qualifying in June.
In his available roster he has 7 new players to check out – Adrian Cann (USL/ Vancouver Whitecaps), Charles Gbeke (USL / Montreal Impact), Dejan Jakovic (NCAA / University of Alabama Birmingham), Paris Nakajima-Farran (DEN / Naestved BK), Tyler Rosenlund (NCAA / UC Santa Barbara), Dave Simpson (CZE / SAID Most) and Chris Williams (unattached).
