Jonathan de Guzman on Soccer Central


In case you haven’t heard, Sportsnet’s Gerry Dobson will be interviewing Jonathan de Guzman (Feyenoord) tomorrow. Don’t expect the highly touted younger brother of Julian to declare his intention to pay for Canada. But still it’s an important interview for Canuck fans. Will he stay or will he go is becoming THE question in Canadian soccer these days as Julian has just become eligible to play for either Canada or The Netherlands, receiving his Dutch passport on January 30, 2008.

The interview airs on Sportsnet tomorrow at 6:30 EST/9:30 PST.

I’ve only seen one Feyenoord game this season but Jonathan was not that impressive. Either way, I hope the Soccer Canada puts it’s efforts into a player that wants to play for Canada.

I haven’t seen him play as well, but the buzz around him is deafening.

I got this times wrong, sorry folks who might have risen early. That was the EPL pregame show. 9 eastern/noon pacific is the correct time.
