jpg75 of the Voyageurs managed to sit on on a conference press call with Julian DeGuzman earlier today. A summary of the call was posted on the V’s boards.

In a nutshell, JDG mentioned that Canada will be targeting the back 4 of Honduras as the weak link. The expect Honduras will give the Canucks time on the ball, with Canada attacking from the wings with lots of crosses.

One other point he mentioned was that the team is all feeling pretty confident right now, especially with many of them coming off great starts with their clubs on the weekend. Julian was instrumental in Deportivo’s 2-1 defeat of Real Madrid on Saturday. Rob Friend scored his second Bundesliga goal for Borussia in their 3-2 win over Werder Bremen, and Iain Hume scoring a “wonder goal” for Barnsley in their 2-0 Championship win over Derby. Damn, I want to see video!

All in all, good stuff leading up to Saturday’s game.
