Hume back in hospital

Bad news for Iain Hume. The Footy Blog and the Ottawa Citizen are both reporting the Canadian international and Barnsley striker is back in hospital after reporting that he was feeling ill Monday night. It was just on Friday that Hume did an interview with the BBC where he said that felt optimistic about returning to playing football (you can see the damage caused in the video and, if you haven’t seen the scar yet, be prepared because it is pretty horrendous). After listening to the interview, I wonder which Canadian player currently playing in England is sounding more English – Iain Hume or Newcastle’s David Edgar?

Meanwhile, the English FA has said they will not take action against Sheffield United’s Chris Morgan for the elbow to the head that fractured Hume’s skull, leaving one to wonder aloud WTF?

If you haven’t signed the online petition yet demanding the police investigate the incident, please take a minute to add your name and show your support for Iain in his fight for justice.
