Just Announced: Canada vs., uh, no one?
Okay, let’s check out the CONCACAF action this week.
Both the US and Mexico are in action against a touring Sweden. Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatamala, Panama, Belize, Nicaragua will be facing off in UNCAF to see who is the Central American champ, and who will move on to the Gold Cup.
Hmmm…let’s see. Anyone missing?
Here it is, another international window will come and go without a bloody match. Instead, Canadian soccer fans will have to take comfort in hearing recycled news from before Christmas. No offense to DDR and TFC cause I think it is a big deal that DeRo is making the move to TO, but I would rather have him taking to the pitch this week wearing another red and white kit.
And herein lies a problem. How do we get better when we don’t play? The USA will play at least 10 games this year. Okay, granted, they are still in the hunt for a World Cup berth so there is that little Hex thing to take care of. But still the CSA could throw us a friggin’ Friendly bone. Right now, Canadian soccer fans have absolutely nothing to look forward to this year. No a single Friendly is on the books.
What gives, CSA?

we got our game! But its not till May :(
