The axe has fallen on Dale Mitchell
Experience has shown me that when an organization has bad news, they release it on a Friday afternoon when most newsrooms are shutting down. But the blogosphere never sleeps and there is already sizeable recation to the news that Dale Mitchell has been let go. I’ll be posting more about this later, but my kids are waiting to be picked up at daycare right now and I gotta run.
Suffice to say, as many others are pointing out, as we rejoice at the removal of Dale Mitchell the coach, let’s not forget the accomplishments of Dale Mitchell, the player.
From the blogs:
- The 24th minute called this a few weeks ago. Good on ya, Duane. I know you took guff for the call. Glad it has worked out for you.
- J at OOT reflects on Mitchell the player.
- Lord Bob speculates Tony Fonseca will inherit the reigns…at least temporarily.
- Over at The V’s forums, there is a RUMOUR (all caps) that a certain Italian has been kicking around Canada.
